Repair!
Patrick (Zora’s dad) just called and said they did a successful mitral valve repair! No replacement. That is so good to hear. There are still so many things that could go wrong, but that is great news. Save that pig valve for somebody else.
Zora should be out of the O.R. in about 45 minutes. I’ll probably head over between 1 and 2 PM. I don’t really have any desire to see her before she’s breathing on her own again.

A name change is called for. Flappy should heretofore be known as The Artist Formerly Known As Flappy, which I shall symbolize with a drawing of a cow heart.
Zora, If you're still craving a bit of pig valve when you're back, a trip to Gray's Papaya might be in order...
